Soldier Field West Concourse Mezzanine Expansion
Design-build steel mezzanine expansion completed during an active NFL season, tying new framing, bracing, guardrails, and metal deck into Soldier Field's existing West Concourse structure.
Project Overview
Real field execution, documented from the project folder.
Soldier Field required design-build precision under one of the tightest site calendars in Chicago construction: road-game work windows, full remobilizations between home games, and a public concourse that had to be safe for 60,000 fans the moment the crane rolled out. DePasquale Steel sequenced the mezzanine expansion around those constraints and delivered the work without disrupting the Bears schedule.
The images on this page are scoped to Soldier Field West Concourse Mezzanine Expansion, keeping the case study tied to the actual field conditions and finished work for this project.

Every project has a different site condition. DePasquale Steel plans the steel around access, staging, safety, and the work of other trades so the frame can move without slowing the rest of the job.
